Education for living well in a world worth living in: Conversation with Dr. Mervi Kaukko, Professor at Tampere University and Fulbright Scholar Harvard Graduate School of Education
This webinar features conversation with Dr. Mervi Kaukko on her research on refugee students’ educational success and school wellbeing. Dr. Kaukko will discuss her recent project that explores how people are being enabled or constrained to live well and to bring into reality a world worth living in for all —whether we are engaged in formal education settings or not. Dr. Kaukko examines this question drawing on the perspectives of diverse groups such as asylum-seeking university students in Australia, young climate activists in Finland, Australian Aboriginal students, parents and community members, and international research students in Sweden. This webinar is a part of Fulbright Outreach Lecturing Fund Initiative and will be moderated by Dr. Charles Lowery, Associate Professor at the School of Education
